AP High Court Postpones RGV’s Anticipatory Bail Hearing

Film director Ram Gopal Varma has reportedly gone into hiding, fearing arrest. Police cases have been filed against Ram Gopal Varma in Visakhapatnam, Guntur, and Ongole districts for posting morphed photos and making inappropriate comments about Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh on social media. Ongole police issued two notices to Ram Gopal Varma, asking him to appear for questioning. However, he has not complied. The Ongole police are reportedly searching for him in Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking anticipatory bail. The High Court heard the petition today but postponed the hearing to tomorrow. This delay has come as a disappointment to Ram Gopal Varma, who was hopeful of gaining freedom through bail. Until the High Court delivers its verdict, Varma is likely to remain in hiding.

Despite being in hiding, RGV’s Twitter handle remains active. On the 23rd, he shared photos with actors, claiming to have participated in a shoot in Coimbatore.
