Chandrababu Naidu Ranked as the Most Powerful Chief Minister
National media organization India Today has named Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as the most powerful Chief Minister. The report also places Chandrababu Naidu in fifth place among the top ten most influential leaders in India. The leaders in the top four positions include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Following Chandrababu Naidu among the most powerful Chief Ministers are Nitish Kumar of Bihar, Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, M.K. Stalin of Tamil Nadu, Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal, and Samajwadi Party President and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
India Today's article describes Chandrababu Naidu's political resurgence, likening it to the rebirth of the mythical Phoenix, overcoming political uncertainty after his time in jail to reclaim his power. The piece likens Naidu’s comeback to scenarios usually seen in Hollywood thrillers, commending his transformation into a pivotal figure in Indian politics.
The report highlights how Chandrababu Naidu allied with Jana Sena and the BJP to revive the TDP, steering it back from decline. India Today also praised him as India’s most senior Chief Minister.
“Currently, Chandrababu Naidu holds substantial influence in the Central government. Without the 16 TDP MPs, the Modi-led government would face significant challenges in the Lok Sabha, making Chandrababu Naidu a crucial figure within the NDA. Now in his fourth term as Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu appears well-positioned to pursue his longstanding vision for a prosperous Andhra Pradesh and the development of the capital city, Amaravati,” the report states.
Recently, Chandrababu Naidu unveiled his Vision 2047 document, targeting a growth rate of 15% to reach an Andhra Pradesh economy of $2.4 trillion and a per capita income of $43,000 by 2047. He often emphasizes the importance of public participation in creating developmental strategies.
The report also notes Chandrababu Naidu's pro-business approach, mentioning his role in establishing the Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad during his second term as the Chief Minister of the then-unified Andhra Pradesh.
