Nara Lokesh Promotes Andhra Pradesh’s Investment Potential in San Francisco
San Francisco: Andhra Pradesh offers unique connectivity in the country through water, road, and air transport, with road connectivity extending along nearly 1,000 kilometers of coastline. The state is currently the most favorable region in India for investors, according to Nara Lokesh, the Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics of Andhra Pradesh.
Minister Nara Lokesh met with several industrialists at the residence of Dropbox Co-founder Sujay Jaswa in San Francisco. He mentioned that development and construction projects worth $3 billion in the public sector and $4.5 billion in the private sector are set to begin around the Amaravati capital region. Additionally, new greenfield ports are coming up in areas like Machilipatnam, Ramayapatnam, Kakinada, and Mulapeta.
He also highlighted that the Bhogapuram International Airport, expected to be completed in the next year and a half, will significantly boost economic activities.
The minister announced plans to establish an AI University in Amaravati, which would ensure a skilled workforce for new AI companies setting up in the state. He urged industrialists to invest in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the state's favorable investment climate.
The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including Clarity AI's CTO Nischal Nadamuni, Green Oaks Founder Neil Mehta, Placer.ai Co-founder & CEO Noam Ben-Zvi, Bella Liu representing RB AI, Rio Shima from Jet Synthesis, industrialists Thomas Pueyo, Ellen Jaswa, Animesh Koratala, and state government representatives Karthikeya Mishra and Saikanth Varma.
