Ambati Rambabu accuses Chandrababu of profiting from Polavaram

Amaravati: Following Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's severe criticism during his visit to the Polavaram project yesterday, blaming Jagan for its destruction, former Minister of Water Resources Ambati Rambabu held a press conference today.

Ambati Rambabu criticized the yellow media for writing false stories labeling Jagan as a traitor to Polavaram, asserting instead that the real traitor to Polavaram is Chandrababu. Rambabu questioned why Chandrababu, who promised to complete Polavaram by 2018, failed to do so. He accused Chandrababu of trying to make money from the Polavaram project and advised him to acknowledge his mistakes.

Ambati Rambabu clarified that the work on Polavaram progressed rapidly only under Jagan's administration. He emphasized that the people should know the truth and that no mistakes occurred in Polavaram during Jagan's tenure. He explained that typically, the diaphragm wall is constructed after the cofferdams, but in Polavaram, this was done differently, leading to damage to the project.

Rambabu stated that while Chandrababu gave up on Polavaram, it was under YSRCP's governance that the cofferdams and spillways were constructed. He criticized Chandrababu for being the reason behind the delay in the Polavaram project.
