Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He has been allocated the portfolios of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Rural Water Supply, Environment, Forests, and Science & Technology.
The date for Pawan Kalyan's assumption of office has been finalized. He will take charge as Deputy CM on June 19. Recently, Pawan Kalyan won the election from the Pithapuram Assembly constituency, defeating YSRCP candidate Vanga Geetha by a substantial margin of 70,279 votes. In the assembly elections, the coalition secured 164 seats, while YSRCP won 11 seats.
Recently, N. Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state. A total of 24 ministers have taken their oath, and they are gradually assuming their responsibilities.
