TDP MLA Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who was previously taken into custody by CID officials, has recently approached Guntur police, alleging an attempt on his life during that period. Raghurama Krishnam Raju lodged a complaint with the Guntur SP, claiming that there was an attempt to kill him while he was in custody.

In his complaint, Raghurama named former CID Chief Sunil Kumar, IPS officer Seetharamanjaneyulu, former CM Jagan, and then-CID Additional SP Vijay Paul as responsible for the assassination attempt. He detailed that Sunil Kumar had threatened to kill him if he criticized then-CM Jagan.

Additionally, he accused Dr. Prabhavati, Superintendent of Guntur Government Hospital, of providing a false report to the court regarding his injuries sustained while in custody. Raghurama requested the Guntur SP to investigate his complaint and take appropriate action.

Raghurama, who won the Narsapuram Lok Sabha seat in the 2019 elections representing YSRCP, had disagreements with the party leadership over time. At one point, he moved to Delhi, unable to stay in his constituency. Recently, Raghurama returned to the state, joined TDP, contested, and won an Assembly seat.
