Senior IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao assumed his responsibilities as the Director General of Andhra Pradesh Stationery and Printing Department in Vijayawada. The government issued orders appointing him as the DG of Printing and Stationery just a short while ago. Following the High Court's orders this morning to lift his suspension, the government promptly assigned him the new position. However, AB Venkateswara Rao, who has just taken on the responsibilities, is set to retire in a few hours.

Speaking to the media after assuming his duties, AB Venkateswara Rao said that he had to retire on the same day he assumed his responsibilities. "For now, this is all I can say. As a government employee, I cannot speak on controversial matters. I extend my gratitude to the well-wishers who have supported and encouraged me all these years," he stated.
