Chandrababu Holds Teleconference with Key TDP Leaders Ahead of Vote Counting

After the general election polling in Andhra Pradesh, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who had taken a break abroad, has returned. With preparations underway for the counting of votes and the announcement of results, Chandrababu conducted a teleconference with key leaders of the party on Wednesday. The primary focus of the discussion was the plan for counting day.

Chandrababu advised leaders and workers to remain vigilant, especially in light of the verbal battles waged by the ruling YSRCP over postal ballot votes. He urged leaders to take the counting process seriously. He also decided to meet with the chief election agents of the 175 assembly and 25 parliamentary constituencies on Friday.

Additionally, on June 1, training will be provided to counting agents at the zonal level. Chandrababu considers these two events to be very crucial. Given the differing opinions and speculations surrounding postal ballots, he stressed the importance of being alert during the counting process. It is well known that the YSRCP has been criticizing the rules for counting postal ballot votes. In this context, Chandrababu instructed the leaders to counter any criticism promptly.

Chandrababu noted that YSRCP leaders are searching for reasons for their potential defeat, which is why they are criticizing the Election Commission and the police. The TDP has decided to request the Election Commission to arrange for full security on the counting day. A letter will be written to the Election Commission and the DGP in this regard. Chandrababu expressed dissatisfaction with the appointment of only 130 election observers for 175 seats in the state. Starting Thursday, the TDP chief will be monitoring the counting plan from his residence in Undavalli.
