Funds for Jagananna Vidya Deevena, Aasara under DBT
Amaravati: The Election Commission (EC) has granted approval for the release of funds under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes. Yesterday (Wednesday), a total of Rs 1,480 crores was allocated for Aasara, and Rs 502 crores for Jagananna Vidya Deevena. The EC authorized Jawahar Reddy to transfer these funds directly into the beneficiaries' accounts. With this backdrop, the government has already sanctioned funds for several schemes and is prepared to release additional funds for other programs as well.
Previously, due to complaints by the TDP, CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena had halted the release of funds under DBT before the polling. However, after the polling concluded on May 13, the EC approved the fund release. Following the EC's directives, on May 15, the government deposited a total of Rs 1,982 crores into the accounts of beneficiaries under Aasara and Jagananna Vidya Deevena.
The Chief Secretary stated that funds for other schemes will also be released within the next two or three days through the DBT method. This has brought joy and satisfaction to students and women beneficiaries.
