YS Sharmila Accuses Jagan Mohan Reddy of Being Modi’s "Remote Control"

YS Sharmila, a prominent political figure, has accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of acting as a "remote control" for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that Reddy supports all the initiatives of the central government. She claimed that Reddy is controlled by two entities, both starting with 'B'—the BJP at the national level and another influential figure in the state.

Sharmila criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy by comparing him to a "foster son" of Modi, asserting that he follows directives from the central government without question. She highlighted that even Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had hinted at such a relationship. Sharmila strongly condemned Reddy's continued support for the BJP-led NDA government, particularly his backing of every bill and initiative over the past five years.

She also touched on the sensitive issue of violence against Christians in Manipur, accusing Jagan of supporting actions against Christians despite being one himself. Sharmila pointed out Reddy's support for the NDA during the no-confidence motion in Parliament, linked to the Manipur crisis, questioning his allegiance given his father YSR's previous opposition to communal parties.

Sharmila's statements raise doubts about whether Jagan Mohan Reddy is truly following in the footsteps of his father YSR, a figure known for his staunch secular stance, or has chosen a path more aligned with Modi, thus earning the label of Modi's "foster son".
