YS Sharmila criticises Jagan for neglecting promises

Kadapa: YS Sharmila, President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Party, sharply criticized Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for failing to fulfill his promises. Speaking at an election campaign event in Tiruvuru on Friday, she accused him of betraying the trust of the people who believed in him and voted for him, especially concerning the issue of special status for Andhra Pradesh.

Sharmila pointed out that despite promising to bring special status to the state, five years into his term, CM Jagan has not revisited the issue. She highlighted that his failure to address this critical matter shows a lack of consideration for the future of the state's citizens and their children.

Additionally, Sharmila lambasted the Chief Minister for not establishing even one of the three capitals he promised, which has left the state's capital status ambiguous and undeveloped. This, she argued, has led to a stagnation in administrative ease and regional development.

On the topic of agricultural support, she questioned the Chief Minister's earlier pledge to allocate Rs. 3000 crores for price stabilization and support to farmers, challenging him on the lack of tangible results even a year after the promise. She also questioned the absence of a job calendar for the Sankranti festival, which was expected to provide employment opportunities.

Concluding her speech, Sharmila called on the voters to use their vote—a powerful tool—to teach CM Jagan a lesson in the upcoming elections by choosing the right candidates who genuinely think about the state's future.
