Amaravati: In the context of the upcoming general elections in Andhra Pradesh, Minister Ambati Rambabu participated in a Q&A session hosted by a media channel. During this session, he addressed questions posed by journalists.
When questioned by a journalist about the unfavorable outcomes for the YSRCP in the MLC elections, Ambati Rambabu clarified that MLC elections are indirect elections where individual influence plays a significant role. He emphasized that these should not be compared to direct public elections like the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
In response to being compared to former Telangana Minister Malla Reddy and being labeled a non-serious politician, Ambati Rambabu retorted, asking how one could call Malla Reddy a non-serious politician when he had won his election. He stated, "I am a very serious politician... I don't know what kind of politician he is. I consider him a serious politician because, despite adverse conditions in Telangana, he won."
When the topic of dancing at public gatherings was brought up, Ambati humorously differentiated his activities from those of actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, saying, "It's a different matter... Do I dance like Pawan Kalyan wherever I fall? Do I dance after taking a package? What I perform during Sankranti is a joyful Tandava, which has its own history. I never dance otherwise."
