"Thousands of phones tapped during KCR's tenure as CM," alleges Rahul Gandhi at Tukkuguda meeting

Hyderabad: Rahul Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress (INC), raised serious allegations against the administration of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), the former Chief Minister of Telangana. Speaking at the 'Jan Jathar' meeting in Tukkuguda, Gandhi accused KCR of misusing police and intelligence systems during his tenure, alleging that thousands of phones were tapped. He criticized the destruction of data immediately after a change in government and lamented that KCR shattered the dreams of the people of Telangana. However, Gandhi assured the audience that the Congress government has now initiated its work in Telangana, with Sonia Gandhi's support, and promised to stand like a soldier for them in Delhi.
He also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the central level, accusing it of running a "washing mission" to cleanse the corruption charges of its members upon joining the party. He pointed out the presence of corrupt ministers in Narendra Modi's cabinet and criticized the electoral bonds as the biggest scam in the world. He expressed pride in defeating BJP's 'B Team' in Telangana and vowed to defeat the 'A Team' nationally.
The INC leader accused the BJP of attempting to abolish the constitution but reassured that they would not let this happen. Gandhi claimed Modi works only for a small percentage of the population, while his administration controls the media, Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). In contrast, Gandhi stated, the Congress has the love and justice of the people.
He highlighted the Congress manifesto's commitment to justice for all sections of society, describing it not just as a party document but as a manifesto prepared by listening to the heart of the nation. He also promised to conduct a caste census to understand the social structure of the country better and undertake economic and institutional surveys to reveal the distribution of wealth in India.
