Jana Sena leader Pothina Mahesh on hunger strike for election ticket

Amaravati: In the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections, the alliance of TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP competing together has led to significant dissatisfaction in certain constituencies due to the presence of strong leaders from these three parties in those areas. Leaders of all parties are adamant about securing the party ticket for themselves. Recently, Jana Sena's official spokesperson, Pothina Mahesh, embarked on a hunger strike in Vijayawada West, demanding the party ticket for himself, surrounded by his supporters.

During the hunger strike, Mahesh stated that it is only fair for him to receive the Vijayawada West ticket as part of the coalition. He mentioned his hard work in the constituency over the last five years and noted that along with him, Jana Sena cadres and fans have also put in significant effort. He claimed to know every nook and corner of the constituency.

Mahesh also pointed out that their struggle led to the relocation of Vellampalli Srinivas to another constituency. He argued that only Jana Sena could win against YCP in this area, implying that other parties would struggle. He expressed confidence that Pawan Kalyan, the leader of Jana Sena, would grant him the ticket, further encouraged by Pawan Kalyan's assurance that his name would be on the second list.
