Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that AICC (All India Congress Committee) senior leader Rahul Gandhi will contest the upcoming parliamentary elections from Telangana. He expressed hope that with a Congress victory, Rahul Gandhi would assume the Prime Minister's office.
Speaking to the media during his visit to Kothagudem on Thursday, he challenged that the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) would not win even a single MP seat in the upcoming parliamentary elections. He criticized the BRS, stating that the people had rejected the party in the assembly elections and were disgusted with their attitude.

He criticized the BRS, stating that the people had rejected the party in the assembly elections and were disgusted with their attitude.
He claimed that during the reign of "Indiramma Rajyam" (a term often used to denote welfare governance in memory of Indira Gandhi), they had put a stop to the previous government's looting and atrocities. He assured that they would deliver government welfare schemes to all deserving individuals, emphasizing that theirs is not a feudal government but one that follows the principles of Indiramma Rajyam.
He mentioned that out of the six guarantees promised during the elections, four have already been implemented. These include free bus travel, Rs. 10 lakhs medical insurance, Rs. 500 for gas, and free electricity up to 200 units under the Mahalakshmi scheme for women. Additionally, he stated that they had announced notifications for mega DSC (District Selection Committee) exams and promised 25,000 jobs within three months, committing to a total of 2 lakh jobs.

He assured that they would conduct exams without any paper leaks and had exposed the failures of the previous government through a white paper in the assembly. He questioned why BRS leaders, including KCR, who had previously criticized their visit to Kaleshwaram, are now visiting the same. He affirmed that the Chief Minister and all officials are accessible to the people.
