Will Fill Kuppam's Tanks with Krishna Waters: Jagan

Kuppam: During a visit to Kuppam in 2022, I promised to bring Krishna waters here, and I have fulfilled that promise," stated Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan. He participated in an event organized in Shantipuram, Kuppam, on Monday, where he performed rituals for Krishna waters and released water into the Handri-Neeva canal.

Subsequently, Jagan announced, "We will fill Kuppam's lakes with Krishna waters." He proudly mentioned that Krishna water was brought to Kuppam from a distance of 672 km, aiming to address the irrigation and drinking water needs of Kuppam and Palamaner constituencies through the Kuppam branch canal.

"This initiative will provide irrigation water to 6,300 acres and ensure drinking water to the people of both constituencies," he said. He questioned what Chandrababu, who had been an MLA for 35 years, had done for the Kuppam constituency and criticized him for not even completing the branch canal works during his tenure.

"Chandrababu, who couldn’t be of use to his own constituency, should be pondered upon by the people for his utility to the state. Despite not winning in Kuppam, I never criticized you, always considering you as my own," Jagan remarked.

After arriving at Renigunta airport on Monday morning, CM Jagan visited Kuppam, paid floral tributes to the statue of YSR, and performed rituals for the Krishna waters. He initiated the water release to Kuppam through the Handri-Neeva canal by pressing a button.

The Krishna waters have already reached Ramakuppam Mandal through the Kuppam branch canal. Officials stated that this project would provide drinking water to the 4.02 lakh population of Kuppam and Palamaner.
