Gas Cylinder to be Available for Rs.500 in a Week: CM Revanth Reddy
Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, made significant remarks about the promise of subsidized gas cylinders. He announced that gas cylinders would be available for Rs.500 in the coming week. This statement was made during the inauguration of various developmental activities, including the Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme, in Kosgi of Narayanpet district on Wednesday, alongside ministers.
Following the inauguration, he addressed several issues with the media, mentioning that two out of the six electoral promises have already been implemented.
During this occasion, Revanth Reddy criticized the former CM KCR, accusing him of leaving projects like Bhima, Nettampadu, Koilsagar, Kalwakurthy, SLBC, Devadula, and Pranahita-Chevella incomplete after spending vast amounts of money. He pointed out that despite spending Rs.2 lakh crores, the work was not completed, and no water was delivered even after spending Rs.27,000 crores under the name of Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation. He also remarked on how AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy is managing to divert 12 TMCs of water daily, highlighting the negligence towards the region.
CM Revanth Reddy claimed to have brought around Rs.5,000 crores to Kodangal in an unexpected manner. With these funds, foundation stones were laid for the Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme, medical and engineering colleges, government junior and women's degree colleges, and Gurukul schools. He recalled that GO 69 was issued in 2014 for the Narayanpet-Kodangal lift irrigation to ensure irrigation water for one lakh acres with 7.10 TMCs. He mentioned that the foundation was laid by then CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy upon MLA Chittem Narsi Reddy's request but was neglected for ten years.
Revanth Reddy accused BJP and BRS of forming a secret pact and neglecting the region. The inauguration of this lift irrigation scheme saw participation from various dignitaries including Water Resources Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Speaker Prasad Kumar, Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha, and MLAs Rammohan Reddy, Parnika Reddy, Yennam Srinivas Reddy, among others.
