TDP MLAs create ruckus in AP Assembly, suspended for a day
Amaravati, September 16: Speaker Thammineni Seetharam suspended TDP MLAs for a day after they entered into well demanding debate on garbage collection tax and spiralling prices of essential commodities. A heated argument broke between ruling and opposition members on same issues.
Speaker expressed anger over the TDP legislators for their behaviour in the House. “Referring to TDP MLAs, you are only members in the House,” he asked and said that the Opposition MLAs are deliberately disrupting proceedings so that they are suspended.
The TDP MLAs tried to enter into an argument with the Speaker after they were suspended. Thammineni ordered marshals to evict Opposition members from the House. While marshals evicting TDP MLAs from the Assembly, a Telugu Desam legislator asked a marshal to show his identity card. For which, Speaker fumed at him.
Seetharam urged Legislative Affairs Minister Bugguna Rajendranath Reddy to suggest him as to what action should be taken against the members for creating nuisance in the Assembly every day.
