YV Subba Reddy exudes confidence of Vizag becoming AP’s executive capital soon
Visakhapatnam, July 25: Visakhapatnam will become Andhra Pradesh’s executive capital after clearing legal hurdles, said TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy during a meeting with the corporators of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).
However, he stated that it is not appropriate to discuss when Vizag will become executive capital. “YSRCP government is giving special attention for development of port city,” he mentioned.
Speaking to the media, Subba Reddy alleged that Opposition is politicising on Godavari floods for their existence in politics. “The AP government had extended all support to flood victims,” he said.
Responding to controversy erupted over devotional song ‘Okapari Kokapari’ crooned by noted Telugu singer Sravana Bhargavi, Subba Reddy said that the TTD is no way related to the issue. “However, the TTD will look into any legal recourse if required,” he said. The song was composed by 15th century saint Annamayya. Lord Venkateshwara devotees raised objection over the video terming offensive.
