Did KCR selected Vundavalli to expand BRS in AP?
Hyderabad, June 13: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, popularly known as KCR, held a one-on-one marathon meeting with former Congress MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar on Sunday giving rise to several speculations.
Political analysts are of the view that KCR might have offered Arun to look after affairs of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), yet to be launched, in Andhra Pradesh. KCR wants to launch BRS as a national political party to fight against the BJP.
It is not clear as to whether Vundavalli had accepted KCR’s offer. He will hold a press meet in Rajahmundry on Tuesday and will announce his decision publicly. The TRS chief selected Arun as he has clean record in his long-standing politics. Even KCR might use his friendship with the senior AP TDP leaders to strengthen the BRS in AP.
However, YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has good relations with KCR. The future has to say as to whether the BRS will pose a threat to the YSRCP in AP. There are chances of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan might join hands with KCR by breaking alliance with the BJP.
