TDP, YSRCP activists clash over Facebook post in Denduluru, Sec 144 imposed

Eluru, June 8: A Facebook post resulted in a clash between the TDP and YSRCP workers at Denduluru in Eluru district. Activists of both parties injured as they attacked each other with iron rods and sticks. A SI, who was trying to control the violence, also suffered injuries. The injured admitted to Government General Hospital in Eluru and also in private hospitals.
 
Eluru SP Rahul Dev Sharma has imposed Section 144 in Denduluru. Additional forces from Krishna district were rushed to Denduluru and pickets were set up in sensitive villages. Orders were issued that no outsider should enter Denduluru.
 
According to reports, followers of former TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar uploaded a post on social media insulting a YSRCP leader. The ruling party functionaries came to police station to register a complaint against social media post. Even the TDP activists also arrived to police station. Heated argument broke out between both groups, eventually led to fight.
