BJP will not announce CM candidate bowing to Jana Sena demand: GVL
Vijayawada, June 6: BJP Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao made loud and clear regarding party stand on announcement of BJP-Jana Sena CM candidate for the state of Andhra Pradesh. As BJP national president J.P. Nadda came to AP on two-day visit, a few Jana Sena leaders demanded that Nadda should declare their party president Pawan Kalyan as CM candidate.
GVL stated that the BJP chief visit to AP meant for strengthening the party. “The BJP national leadership will take a decision at an appropriate time about the CM candidate,” he mentioned and added that demand was put forward to divert the attention of people from the BJP.
The MP further said that Nadda’s tour in AP on the occasion of BJP-led NDA government completing 8 years rule indicates that the BJP has focused on Telugu states. Earlier, the AP BJP leaders have welcomed Nadda at Gannavaram airport. Nadda will address a public meeting in Rajahmundry on June 7.
