KTR says 3D printing tech revolutionising healthcare; NCAM is coming up on OU campus
Hyderabad, May 13: Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday said that 3-D printing technology is bringing revolutionary change in healthcare industry.
Delivering the keynote address at the inaugural event of ‘National Conference on 3D Printing in Medical Devices and Implants’ at HICC here, KTR stated that India has huge opportunity to emerge as world number one in 3D printing technology field.
Hyderabad-based National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM) is organising the conference in partnership with the Telangana government and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
KTR assured that the TRS government will extend support for the growth of the sector in Telangana. “I am delighted to say that the NCAM is coming up on the Osmania University campus,” he said. Victorian Government (Australia) Commissioner Michelle Wade, Telangana Principal Secretary (IT) Jayesh Ranjan, NCAM CIO Rama Devi, Emerging Technologies Director Jaspreet Sidhu and others were present.
