Meet held to discuss a plethora of problems plaguing Tollywood
Hyderabad: Representatives of 24 crafts of Tollywood met at the Cultural Centre at Filmnagar in Hyderabad on Sunday to discuss the situation in the film industry, the problems of film workers and their welfare. The meeting discussed how to move ahead after recovering from the pandemic.
The meeting discussed issues such as rising film production costs, rising cube digital broadcasting charges, the burden of electricity charges on theaters and the popularity of OTTs. The meeting was attended by directors Rajamouli, Koratala Siva, producers Tammareddy Bhardwaj, Natti Kumar, Prasanna Kumar, senior actors Murali Mohan and Rajendra Prasad.
Damodar Prasad, general secretary of the Film Chamber, said the meeting discussed a wide range of issues and was held in a cordial atmosphere. He said a similar meeting would be held after three months.
