Hyderabad: The West Indies batting line-up fell like a pack of cards during the first ODI against Team India. Team India won the toss and elected to bowl in the 50 overs match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Batting first, the West Indies were all out for 176 in 43.5 overs. The Windies' players struggled to get runs.

Mohammad Siraj started the Windies' collapse by dismissing opener Shai Hope (8). After that, spinners Yuzvendra Chahal (4/49) and Washington Sundar (3/30) outscored the Caribbeans. Darren Bravo 18, Shamra Brooks 12, Nicholas Pooran 18. Notably, Captain Kieran Pollard was the duck out.

However, all-rounder Jason Holder played responsibly and scored a half-century. Holder scored 57 off 71 balls. He was assisted by Fabian Allen, 29, in the lower order. With that, the Windies' score crossed the 150 mark. The Windies' innings came to an abrupt end when the Prasidh Krishna dismissed Holter. Prasidh Krishna took two wickets.
