Visakhapatnam IPL Tickets Sell Out in Minutes, Fans Disappointed

Tickets for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in Visakhapatnam were sold out within minutes of sales opening, leaving many eager fans disappointed. The city is set to host two matches this month—Delhi Capitals vs. Lucknow Super Giants on March 24 and Delhi Capitals vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 30.

Ticket sales for the Delhi Capitals vs. Lucknow Super Giants match began at 4 PM yesterday through the District (Zomato) app. With thousands of fans waiting online, ₹1,000 tickets were booked within minutes of sales going live.

Authorities have not yet announced the ticket sale date for the Delhi Capitals vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad match. A similar rush for tickets was observed last year on March 31, when Delhi Capitals faced Chennai Super Kings in Visakhapatnam.

Given past incidents of counterfeit ticket sales, Visakhapatnam City Police Commissioner Shankha Brata Bagchi has urged the public to report any such cases. He advised fans to notify the police if they come across fake ticket sales or report complaints directly to his personal WhatsApp number, 79950 95799.
