Amid Rising Witness Deaths, Security Strengthened for Dastagiri

A series of suspicious deaths among witnesses in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case has caused widespread concern. In response, the police have increased security for Dastagiri, who turned approver in the case. Until now, Dastagiri had 1 1 security, which has now been upgraded to 2 2. Kadapa District Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Kumar issued the relevant orders.

Dastagiri visited the Kadapa District SP office to express his concerns over the continuous deaths of witnesses in the case. He submitted a petition requesting enhanced security. In his petition, he alleged that while he was in Kadapa Jail, Dr. Chaitanya Reddy had threatened him. Following this, the police decided to enhance his security arrangements.
