Triple X Soaps Founder Arunachalam Manickavel Passes Away

Guntur-based industrialist and founder of Triple X Soaps, Arunachalam Manickavel (77), passed away yesterday evening. He had been suffering from health issues for some time and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Guntur, where he breathed his last. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.

Originally from Tamil Nadu, Manickavel moved to Guntur in the 1980s and started a soap business. In the initial days, he manufactured detergent soaps himself and sold them door-to-door using a rickshaw. Over time, he established a factory and expanded his business. His marketing campaigns gained significant popularity by incorporating lyrics from popular film songs, with the slogan “Triple X... a cultured soap” becoming widely recognized.

As his business flourished, Manickavel actively supported several cultural organizations, service institutions, and Tamil associations in Guntur. His funeral is scheduled to take place today in Guntur.
