Political Influence in Universities Must End, Says Nara Lokesh

Minister Nara Lokesh stated that the coalition government will implement strict measures to ensure that individuals fear engaging in wrongdoing within universities across the state. Speaking during the Question Hour in the Assembly today, he addressed allegations of irregularities at Andhra University.
TDP MLAs Palla Srinivasa Rao, Ganababu, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, and Jana Sena MLA Konathala Ramakrishna brought these alleged irregularities to the Assembly's attention, claiming they occurred under the YSRCP administration.
Responding to the discussion, Minister Nara Lokesh announced that a vigilance inquiry would be conducted into the alleged irregularities at Andhra University. He also noted that the in-charge Vice-Chancellor had already ordered an investigation. Lokesh assured that strict action would be taken as soon as the inquiry report is received.
MLA Ganababu criticized former Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prasada Reddy, accusing him of behaving like a YSRCP leader. He alleged that Prasada Reddy turned the prestigious Andhra University into a political platform. MLA Konathala Ramakrishna demanded a thorough cleansing of all universities in Andhra Pradesh. MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu emphasized the need for a time-bound investigation into the Andhra University case.
