Car Driver Absconds with Gold Ornaments Worth ₹6 Crore While En Route from Hyderabad to Vijayawada

In a sensational incident, a car driver absconded with gold ornaments weighing 7 kilograms, valued at ₹6 crore, which were supposed to be delivered in Vijayawada. The police have revealed key details about the case, which has caused significant commotion in the region.

According to reports, the owner of Shyam Baba Jewellers, based in Hyderabad, had arranged for the delivery of 7 kilograms of gold ornaments to a shop in Vijayawada. For the task, a driver named Jitendra, originally from Madhya Pradesh and residing in Hyderabad, was entrusted with the responsibility. He was accompanied by two trusted aides of the jeweller during the journey.

The car was reportedly stopped near Chillakallu, Jaggaiahpet Mandal, for a tea break. Seizing the opportunity, Jitendra drove off in the car, leaving the other two behind. He later abandoned the vehicle near a warehouse in Adda Road, Nandigama Mandal, and fled with the gold ornaments.

Upon receiving the complaint, Nandigama police registered a case and launched an investigation. Meanwhile, the jeweller rushed to Jitendra’s residence in Hyderabad, only to find that the house had been vacated, suggesting that the theft was part of a well-planned operation.
