Revanth Reddy’s ‘Hydra’ Initiative Wins Praise from Venkaiah Naidu
Hyderabad: Former Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu praised the Telangana government's ‘Hydra’ initiative aimed at protecting and restoring the disappearing lakes and ponds in Hyderabad. He commended Revanth Reddy for his proactive approach, stating that the measures being taken under the ‘Hydra’ project are commendable. However, he advised that fairness should be maintained in demolition drives, emphasizing that the poor affected by these actions must be supported.
Venkaiah Naidu made these remarks while speaking at a workshop titled ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan’ held yesterday at the University of Hyderabad. He stressed that for the nation to prosper, it is essential to ensure not only human welfare but also the well-being of natural resources, including rivers, lakes, forests, animals, and birds.
Highlighting his rural middle-class background, Venkaiah Naidu said that his intention in engaging with schools, universities, and cultural institutions is to give back to the society that elevated him to constitutional positions. He expressed his commitment to continue contributing to such initiatives to promote societal welfare.
