Sankranti Travelers Rejoice: 5,000 Special Buses from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh

In a welcome announcement for Sankranti travelers planning to visit their hometowns, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has introduced 5,000 special buses from Hyderabad to various destinations in Andhra Pradesh. TSRTC officials are expected to release detailed schedules and routes today.

In addition to Andhra Pradesh, these special buses will also cater to several districts within Telangana. Women travelers will continue to enjoy free travel benefits on these buses, as applicable on Pallvelugu, City Ordinary, and Metro Express services. However, the zero-fare scheme is valid only up to the Telangana state border, after which passengers will need to purchase tickets. These special buses will operate for ten days, from the first week of January to January 17.

APSRTC to Operate Additional Services

Anticipating heavy demand, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has also announced 2,400 special buses from Hyderabad. These buses will run between January 9 and January 13, with regular ticket prices maintained for all services.
