Benefit Shows and Ticket Price Hikes Are Minor Issues: Dil Raju

Prominent Telugu film producer and FDC Chairman Dil Raju addressed the media following a meeting between Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and representatives of the Telugu film industry. Dil Raju emphasized that the primary goal of the film industry is its growth and development, stating that benefit shows and ticket price hikes are minor issues in comparison.

He dismissed the notion of a widening gap between the Telugu film industry and the Telangana government, calling it a mere misconception. "The Telugu film industry continues to enjoy respect and support from all quarters," he affirmed.

Dil Raju revealed that the Chief Minister expressed his vision for Hyderabad to host film shoots of all languages and to provide facilities comparable to those for Hollywood productions. He highlighted the government’s intention for Hyderabad to emerge as a hub for the film industry and noted that the industry has been encouraged to work with a positive outlook.

Regarding efforts to curb drug abuse, Dil Raju assured that Tollywood would fully cooperate with the Telangana government. He disclosed that the Chief Minister had discussed the security needs of the film industry with the state’s Director General of Police and announced plans for another meeting with the Chief Minister in the future.
