Congress MP’s Complaint Triggers Vigilance Raids at HCA Office

The Vigilance Department conducted surprise raids on the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) office following a complaint by Bhongir MP Chama Kiran Kumar Reddy. The raids were carried out to investigate allegations of irregularities in the tender processes. Officials seized all relevant records linked to the allegations.

MP Chama Kiran Kumar Reddy had earlier alleged irregularities in the HCA, particularly in awarding contracts during international matches for catering and transportation services. He claimed that the management made unilateral decisions without consulting the Apex Council and concentrated decision-making powers in the hands of a few individuals.

In a letter to the Vigilance DGP, the MP highlighted instances where IPL contracts were awarded without following proper tender procedures. He asserted that such practices tarnish the reputation of the HCA and called for immediate measures to restore the integrity of the organization.
