Somireddy Alleges Corruption by Vijayasai Reddy's Group

TDP MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has leveled serious allegations against YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy, accusing him of widespread corruption. Somireddy claimed that there is no scam left untouched by Vijayasai’s group. He alleged that Trident Knowledge Company, linked to Vijayasai Reddy, supplied 4.5 lakh tonnes of substandard coal to Andhra Pradesh GENCO. According to Somireddy, each tonne of coal was sold at ₹8,500 crore, resulting in significant financial irregularities.

Somireddy further alleged that the substandard coal supply led to reduced electricity generation, forcing the government to procure power from external sources at higher prices. This, he claimed, imposed a heavy financial burden on the public.

The MLA demanded departmental action against those responsible for the supply of substandard coal by Trident Knowledge Company. He questioned why the CID and Vigilance departments had not initiated action against the alleged scam. Somireddy called for a comprehensive investigation into Vijayasai’s group and punitive action.

Additionally, he urged probes into alleged irregularities in schemes such as 108 and 104 services and demanded accountability for various scams under the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. Somireddy criticized the lack of adequate personnel in government departments to address these issues effectively.
