I Was Very Nervous to Even Speak to Him at That Time: Ram Charan

Global star Ram Charan’s upcoming film Game Changer, directed by S. Shankar, is set to release on January 10, coinciding with the Sankranti festival. Produced under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Zee Studios, and Dil Raju Productions, the film has been presented by Anita and produced by Dil Raju and Sirish with an uncompromising vision. Kiara Advani stars opposite Ram Charan in this much-anticipated movie.

As part of the promotional activities, the pre-release event for Game Changer was held in Dallas, USA, under the direction of Charisma Dreams' Rajesh Kallepalli. Acclaimed filmmaker Sukumar attended the event as the chief guest. During the event, Ram Charan shared an intriguing memory, offering insights into his admiration for director S. Shankar.

Speaking at the event, Ram Charan said, “I attended the event for Shankar sir’s film Snehitudu. At that time, I was so nervous that I couldn’t even muster the courage to speak to him. I had thought of asking him to make a Telugu film—if not with me, then with someone else—but I couldn’t bring myself to say it. Shankar sir is truly the King of Indian Cinema.

"Just as Sachin Tendulkar is to cricket, Shankar sir is to Indian cinema. He’s a director’s director. It’s a privilege to work with someone of his caliber. It’s been five years since my last solo film, and this is a very special project for me. I assure you this movie won’t disappoint anyone. Achieving anything requires patience.”

Expressing his gratitude, he added, “It’s heartening to have Sukumar sir, who delivered a phenomenal success with Pushpa 2, attend our event and share his thoughts. It’s also a pleasure to collaborate with Dil Raju sir on this project.”
