Significant Price Drop in Liquor Brings Joy to Consumers in Andhra Pradesh

Liquor enthusiasts in Andhra Pradesh have received exciting news as several liquor companies have significantly reduced the basic prices of alcoholic beverages. The move has resulted in a decrease of approximately ₹30 per quarter bottle. In total, 11 companies have decided to lower their prices, offering financial relief to consumers.

Since the current coalition government assumed power, branded liquor, which had become scarce during the previous administration, has once again become available in the market. Recently, the state government introduced a new liquor policy aimed at restructuring the market. This policy has led to moderate price reductions initially, which have now been further amplified by the companies’ decision.

The reduced prices stem from lower purchase rates offered by the beverage manufacturing companies to the state-owned Andhra Pradesh Beverages Corporation. Consequently, this reduction is being passed on to the consumers, bringing considerable relief to liquor buyers in the state.
