Former Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) chief Om Prakash Chautala passed away on Friday afternoon due to cardiac arrest at his residence in Gurugram, according to INLD sources. He was 89 years old.

Om Prakash Chautala, a prominent figure in Haryana politics, served as Chief Minister five times between 1989 and 2005. His political career left a lasting imprint on the state’s political landscape. In recent years, he had been less active in politics due to advanced age.
