Missing Ration Rice Case: Former Minister Perni Nani's Family Goes into Hiding
Former minister and YSRCP leader Perni Nani and his family have reportedly gone into hiding amidst a growing investigation into the disappearance of 3708 bags of ration rice from their private warehouse. Fearing imminent arrest, it is learned that Nani and his wife, Jayasudha, are currently untraceable. Along with them, the warehouse manager, Manas Teja, has also reportedly disappeared since the case was filed.
Jayasudha filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Machilipatnam district court yesterday, seeking protection from arrest.
Meanwhile, Perni Nani, in his capacity as the YSRCP district president, was expected to lead a protest called by party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the district collectorate yesterday. However, Nani’s absence, along with that of his son, Perni Kittu, has fueled speculation about their whereabouts.
Civil Supplies Department officials are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the missing rice incident.
