Konijeti Rosaiah Remembered as a True Hyderabadi: Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy praised the late former Chief Minister Konijeti Rosaiah as a true Hyderabadi during an event held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) to mark Rosaiah's third death anniversary. Speaking at the event, Revanth Reddy highlighted Rosaiah's balanced perspective on both Telugu states, noting that Rosaiah always emphasized equality in addressing the concerns of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Revanth Reddy credited Rosaiah's dedication and administrative skills for transforming Telangana into a state with a surplus budget. Recalling his personal interactions with Rosaiah during his tenure as an MLA, Revanth Reddy shared how Rosaiah once summoned him to his office, offered valuable suggestions, and encouraged him to study extensively to perform better in legislative debates. He also fondly remembered Rosaiah's praise for his oratory skills and guidance on improving further.

Rosaiah was remembered as a consistent Number 2 leader who served under several Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, including Marri Chenna Reddy, Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy, Bhavanam Venkataram, Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy, and Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. According to Revanth Reddy, Rosaiah played a crucial role in maintaining stability and smooth governance under these leaders. He emphasized that while the Chief Ministers may have changed, Rosaiah's presence as the second-in-command remained constant.

Revanth Reddy noted that Rosaiah never aspired to become the Chief Minister but was entrusted with the role during a critical time by Sonia Gandhi, reflecting the trust and confidence placed in him. He lauded Rosaiah's impeccable service as the Governor of Tamil Nadu, describing it as exemplary.

The Chief Minister highlighted the vital role of the Arya Vysya community in Telangana's economic progress and assured that the government would take steps to ensure a favorable environment for their businesses. He also promised to give them a fair representation within the party.

Expressing regret over the absence of a statue commemorating Rosaiah in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy promised to oversee the construction of a statue in a suitable location selected by the Arya Vysya community. He assured its completion by the next death anniversary under the supervision of the R&B department.
