Former MLA Alla Nani Likely to Join TDP
Alla Nani, also known as Kalikrishna Srinivas and a former MLA from Eluru, is reportedly set to join the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Sources indicate that preparations for his inclusion in the party have already been finalized. It is expected that he will officially join TDP later today in the presence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu following the Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat.
In the previous elections, Alla Nani contested from the Eluru constituency representing the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) but faced defeat. Subsequently, he resigned from his position as the YSRCP district president and also relinquished his party membership. At that time, Alla Nani had announced his withdrawal from active politics.
Later, speculations arose about his potential entry into the Jana Sena Party, but it now appears that he has decided to align with the TDP. A three-time MLA, Alla Nani has served as a minister and also as a deputy chief minister in the past. Reports suggest that a senior TDP leader from Vizianagaram district played a key role in facilitating his move to the TDP through negotiations with the party's leadership.
