New Peetadhipathi Pavanānanda Swami Visits Tirupati: Bhumana’s Satire
Today in Tirupati, YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy sharply responded to the remarks made by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan during the Varahi Declaration meeting. Bhumana sarcastically referred to Pawan Kalyan as the "new Peetadhipathi Pavanānanda Swami" arriving in Tirupati. He mentioned that after hearing Pawan's speech, he was reminded of the song "Kevvu Keka."
Bhumana ridiculed Pawan’s speech, comparing it to a drunken monkey's rambling and said that even religious leaders (Peetadhipathis) would be left bewildered by his remarks. He noted that Pawan, during his speech, went as far as warning the courts.
He questioned whether Pawan Kalyan, whom he mockingly called "Swami," had any real understanding of Sanatana Dharma (the eternal tradition). He ridiculed Pawan’s claim that the laddus sent to Ayodhya were adulterated, issuing a challenge: "If the laddus from Tirumala are adulterated, we are ready to face any punishment. Can you take an oath at Lord Venkateswara’s feet to prove this?"
Bhumana accused Pawan of having a mind full of negativity and repeatedly spreading falsehoods. He questioned whether practices like baptism and beef consumption align with Sanatana Dharma.
He further criticized Pawan for not adhering to traditional Hindu practices, pointing out that while true followers of Sanatana Dharma bring their children to Tirumala for the first haircut ceremony within nine months, Pawan brought his daughters only after 14 years. Bhumana questioned how Pawan could claim to be a protector of Sanatana Dharma.
Bhumana highlighted the YSRCP government’s efforts to promote Sanatana Dharma, mentioning the establishment of daily homas (ritual offerings) at Alipiri during Jagan's rule, their initiative to provide the Bhagavad Gita to students, and facilitating special darshan for those who wrote "Govinda Koti." He emphasized that 3,500 temples were built during Jagan's tenure.
Responding to allegations of corruption in the Sri Vani Trust, Bhumana stated, "Even if a single rupee was misappropriated, I am ready to face punishment." He criticized Pawan for making baseless claims and challenged him to swear on God. He concluded by accusing Pawan of using Sanatana Dharma as a guise for political power.
