Rahul to build 7-star hotel on Cong land in Chennai

Chennai, Feb 22, 2015:Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has decided to build a 7-star hotel and party office cum shopping complex at the sprawling 30-acre campus owned by the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee Trust in Chennai city. The Trust has its 30 acre land at Tenampet and it costs around Rs.5000 Cr. The Congress high command has appointed AICC Treasurer Motilal Vora and Kesavan, grandson of the late Rajaji as the members of the Trust recently in place of Jayanti Natarajan and GK Vasan who quit the party. Reports said Rahul has appointed Motila Vora as a member of the Trust to execute his plans of building the 7-star hotel and big shopping complex which will house the TNCC office in its first two floors. Rahul Gandhi has reportedly given the responsibility of constructing the shopping complex and the 7-star hotel to a Mumbai-based industrialist. TNCC Chief EVKS Elangovan is presently in Delhi to finalise the plans of construction in consultation with Rahul.
