Telangana Government Announces Holidays on 17th and 25th of This Month

There was some confusion regarding the date of Bakrid this year, leading to uncertainty about the public holiday. To resolve this issue, the Telangana government has officially declared June 17th as the holiday. Initially, the government had planned to give a holiday on the date Bakrid was observed, which was debated to be either the 17th or 18th.

However, the government has now confirmed June 17th as the holiday. Since June 17th falls on a Monday, schools and colleges will enjoy a two-day break. Banks will also have a three-day closure, as the holiday coincides with the second Saturday of the month. Additionally, the government has announced another holiday on June 25th in observance of Eid-e-Ghadir.
