Asaduddin Owaisi Endorses YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh Elections

In a significant announcement amid the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has voiced his support for the YSR Congress Party led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. Owaisi urged the voters in Andhra Pradesh to support YSRCP, praising CM Jaganmohan Reddy as a secular leader committed to protecting the rights of SC, ST, BC, and minority communities. He made these statements while speaking with the media in Hyderabad.

On the other hand, Owaisi strongly criticized Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the national president of the Telugu Desam Party, labeling him as an opportunist and a leader lacking credibility. He expressed concerns that if the BJP-led NDA came to power in Andhra Pradesh, it would mark the end of reservations for Muslims. The support of Owaisi for YSRCP in the 2019 elections is well-known.

Owaisi also reiterated his criticism of Prime Minister Modi's comments on the growth of the Muslim population, accusing him of repeatedly misrepresenting the facts about Muslims' use of condoms. Meanwhile, Owaisi is contesting from the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, where BJP candidate Madhavi Lata is one of his main opponents. Madhavi Lata has been actively campaigning, targeting Owaisi with sharp rhetoric.
