Skill Case: SC Adjourns Hearing on Chandrababu's Bail Cancellation Petition
In the skill development case, it is known that the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted regular bail to TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu. However, the Andhra Pradesh CID approached the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of this bail. The Supreme Court bench began its full hearing on this petition today, after initial deliberations on the 19th of last month.
The bench, comprising Justice Pankaj Mittal and Justice Bela M. Trivedi, conducted the hearing on this petition. The CID's counsel, Ranjit Kumar, informed the court that a chargesheet has already been filed against Chandrababu in the skill case and urged for the cancellation of his bail.
The lawyer Ranjit Kumar explained to the two-member bench of the Supreme Court that Chandrababu was violating bail conditions and that his son Lokesh was intimidating officials with a 'Red Book'. He warned that once in power, they would deal with the names listed in the 'Red Book'.
He mentioned that an interim application was filed in court concerning this matter. After hearing the arguments, the Supreme Court bench postponed the next hearing to May 7.
