Sharmila Accuses Jagan Mohan Reddy of Betraying Andhra's Trust

During a speech in Karveti Nagaram, Gangadhara Nellore constituency, Congress Party's chief Sharmila heavily criticized Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for betraying the public by failing to fulfill pre-election promises. She accused the YSRCP government of stalling the state's development and engaging in corrupt practices through the sale of substandard liquor, which she claimed jeopardized the lives of the people.

Sharmila pointed out the failure of achieving special status for Andhra Pradesh despite having ample MPs to advocate for the state's interests at the central level. She suggested that the state's interests were compromised by the central government.

Further, Sharmila attacked the state's Excise Minister Narayanaswamy, accusing him of profiting from the liquor business and stating that YSRCP leaders have been involved in looting through the sale of low-quality liquor. She emphasized that while the people should reject money offered by YSRCP leaders, they should vote for Congress instead.

Highlighting political alliances, Sharmila criticized the TDP's alliance with the BJP, suggesting that it made Jagan Mohan Reddy subservient to Prime Minister Modi. She mentioned that the public is noticing YSRCP's drama and stated that for the state's welfare, the Congress Party needs to come to power. She also expressed her desire to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister, fulfilling her father YSR's last wish.
