Kavitha's bold statements in Delhi Court: A political laundering accusation

New Delhi: The Delhi liquor policy case is creating a sensation across the country. The involvement of BRS MLC Kavitha as an accused has turned this case into a sensation in the two Telugu-speaking states. On the other side, Kavitha's custody under the Enforcement Directorate (ED) concluded yesterday. Following this, ED officials brought her to the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi a short while ago. The ED officials have requested the court to extend her custody for another 14 days, stating that the investigation is progressing and several accused are being interrogated.

Meanwhile, while heading into the court, Kavitha made sensational remarks to the media present there. She said that even if she were to be temporarily jailed, she would emerge like a washed pearl. She expressed confidence that their morale could not be shaken. Criticizing the nature of the case, she stated that this is not a money laundering case but a case of political laundering.

She mentioned that one of the accused joined the BJP, another is aspiring for a BJP ticket, and a third accused has given Rs. 50 crores through electoral bonds. She asserted this to be a false case and expressed confidence that she would come out clean.
