BJP to Outshine Congress in Telangana Parliamentary Elections, Predicts News18 Mega Opinion Poll

The News18 Mega Opinion Poll survey revealed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a strong chance of continuing its momentum in Telangana in the upcoming parliamentary elections, potentially outperforming the ruling Congress party. With 17 Lok Sabha seats available in Telangana, the survey analyzed that the BJP could win 8 seats. According to the survey, the Congress is predicted to secure 6 seats, the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) 2 seats, and others (including AIMIM) 1 seat.

The survey projected a voting share of 27% for BRS, 34% for the India alliance, 28% for the BJP, and 11% for others. In the previous Lok Sabha elections, BRS won 9 seats, BJP 4, Congress 3, and AIMIM 1 seat. The survey indicates a significant improvement for the BJP, doubling its seats, and a slight increase for the Congress, while BRS is expected to lose seven of its seats to the BJP and Congress.

In Karnataka, with 28 Lok Sabha seats, the BJP is projected to win 25, the India alliance 3, and in Assam, the BJP is expected to win all 14 seats. Similarly, in Rajasthan with 25 seats and Uttarakhand with 5 seats, the BJP is projected to win all the available seats, according to the News18 Mega Opinion Poll survey.
