Telugu Desam Party releases second list with 34 candidates
Amaravati: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has released its second list of candidates, featuring 34 individuals. In Rajahmundry Rural, incumbent MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary secured his nomination, while Palla Srinivasa Rao has been chosen as the TDP candidate for Gajuwaka, a constituency previously contested by Pawan Kalyan. Chintamaneni Prabhakar has been given another opportunity to contest from Denduluru.
Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao is set to contest from Gurazala, and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, who switched from YSRCP to TDP, has been announced as the candidate for Atmakur.
In the Prakasam district, Inturi Nageswara Rao is making his electoral debut from Kandukur, a constituency that has been a stronghold of Congress and later YSRCP.
Challa Ramachandra Reddy (Babu) has secured the TDP ticket for Punganur, a constituency represented by Minister Peddireddy.
The second list includes 27 men and 7 women, with 5 candidates having an educational qualification less than 10th grade, one PhD, 11 postgraduates, 9 graduates, and 8 who have completed intermediate.
Age-wise, three candidates are between 61 to 75 years, and the highest number, 19 candidates, fall in the 46 to 50 age group.
Following the release of 94 candidates in the first list, TDP has now announced a total of 128 candidates. As part of the alliance, Janasena has been allocated 21 Assembly and 2 MP seats, while BJP has been given 10 Assembly and 6 MP seats.
